"A Support Group for Persons Living With Bipolar Disorder"

This goup meets monthly at Dominion Behavioral Healthcare, 2305 N. Parham Rd.  Leader of this group is Valerie Acosta, LPC.  Group will meet from 12:00 until 1:15. 

Cost is $75 per session (May be covered by Insurance). Group is limited to 6 participants.

“Boundaries- Draw the Line”

This group will enable participants to establish and maintain healthy and effective boundaries in relationships. Healthy boundaries can strengthen relationships, increase trust, and enable you to work through your anger and resentment towards others. The group will discuss the characteristics of a “toxic” relationship and how to free yourself from its power and control.

This group will be facilitated by Lowell Thomas, LPC.

Meeting time: Saturdays from 8:30-10:00 A.M.

“Healing from Grief and Loss”

This group will help participants learn to “reconcile” their grief in order to heal. There will be a focus on “complicated” grieving and how this can prevent healthy grieving. The group will identify the various types of losses that need to be grieved. There will also be attention given to coping with the holidays and other grief “triggers”.

This group will be facilitated by Lowell Thomas, LPC

Meeting time: Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00pm

“The Path to Forgiveness”

Participants in this group will learn what forgiveness “is” and what it “is not”. The difference between “decisional” and “emotional” forgiveness will also be discussed. Learning to let go of anger and resentment by choosing to give the gift of forgiveness even when it is not “deserved”.
